We will formulate a plan on how to achive your goals in the most efficient way possible while maintaining a balanced lifestyle. It's not about fad diets or gimmicks, it's about progressive training and a balanced sustainable lifestyle.
BALANCED LIFESTYLE
I believe that nothing should be totally off limits and a good balance can be achieved where there isn't too much restriction on the things that you enjoy and you can still achieve incredible results.
Many small lifestyle changes that you make outside of the gym can help you achieve the results you deserve and improve your overall health.
There are many contributing factors that can affect results, such as quality of sleep, stress levels and non-exercise physical including daily steps.
There is also nothing wrong with the occasional takeaway, meal out or a drink at a social event.
PROGRESSIVE TRAINING
I put a lot of emphasis on mastering the technique on large compound lifts, like squats, deadlifts and pull ups as these exercises are excellent at improving strength, coordination and body composition.
The training should always be safe and challenging so that as you become stronger and fitter we can incorporate new exercises and training techniques to ensure you get the most out of each session.
I have first-hand experience of how boxing can improve overall fitness and body composition. It can be one of the more enjoyable forms of cardio as well as improving coordination, upper body power and muscular endurance.
NUTRITIONAL GUIDANCE
It’s not one size fits all and no food should be totally off limits. There are certain principles that are proven to work and it’s all about finding a way to apply them to your lifestyle.
The 3 main things you have to consider are:
The amount of calories - which is how much energy the food provides you with.
Macronutrients - which are protein, carbs and fat, a good balance of these will fuel you and ensure you recover optimally.
Micronutrients - which are vitamins and minerals they are essential for overall health and also help boost the immune system.
